Are you interested in becoming a volunteer
firefighter?
Volunteer firefighters are the vital foundation of this department. We currently have several openings and urge anyone interested to apply. Become one of the proud, dedicated and determined volunteer professionals who serves the community like no other.
Any person interested in joining the Enfield Fire Department must meet the following qualifications before becoming a probationary member:
- Must be a resident in the Town of Enfield
- Must be at least 18 years of age (Age 14-17 see below)
- Must pass an application/interview process
- Must successfully complete a medical physical and drug screening

Are you still interested in becoming a member, but you are not 18 years of age?
The Enfield Fire Department also offers a Junior Firefighting "Cadet" Program. This program is offered to individuals who have the following qualifications:
- Must be a resident of Enfield
- Must be between 14 and 17 years of age
- Must be a student attending either Junior High or High School
- Must pass an application/interview process
- Must successfully complete a medical physical and drug screening
